Abstract The rating on Cambridge, Mass.' bonds is based on the full faith and credit GO pledge of the city and reflects: Cambridge's local economy, which draws its considerable strength from education, research, biotechnology, and consulting services; Consistently sensible fiscal practices that support solid financial operations, including budget stabilization reserves; and A moderate debt burden with controllable capital needs. Proceeds of this sale will finance renovations to several elementary schools, city hall improvements, renovation of a youth center, and improvement to open spaces. Sewer reconstruction projects are also planned. Cambridge's successful evolution into a high-technology services area continues to reap positive economic benefits.
