Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA' rating to Clayton County Water Authority, Ga.'s water and sewage refunding revenue bonds, series 2006, and affirmed its 'AA' rating on the Authority's revenue debt. The 'AA' rating reflects the Authority's: Participation in the strong and diverse Atlanta MSA; Solid historical coverage of annual and maximum debt service by pledged revenues; Ample water capacity; Average water and sewer rates, compared regionally, coupled with a history of timely rate increases; and Good management practices, including multiyear planning to address the service area's needs.
