Now, track the most important trend of all: gaming revenue, in the industry’s only National Revenue Report. Published on a monthly basis, the NRR is intended to help you make sense of the various gaming revenue reports. Fantini Research tie together all of the piecemealed information and provide monthly and year-to-date revenue trends throughout the United States.

The proliferation of gaming in the Middle Atlantic has created a super region that is bigger than the Las Vegas Strip and local markets combined.

The emergence of the Interstate-95 Super Region is among the conclusions drawn from the annual Fantini’s National Revenue report.

Other major findings of the 94-page report include:

- National gaming revenues rose for the second straight year in 2011 and increased on a same-store comparison for the first time since the record year of 2007.

- Revenues rose 2.9 percent to $38.066 billion in those jurisdictions where revenues are publicly reported. They rose 0.4 percent same-store.

- However, they remain below 2008, and are 3.4 percent under 2007.

- Revenues should shatter the 2007 record this year as the economy recovers, casinos open in Atlantic City, Maryland, Kansas, and Ohio, and as Rivers Casino in suburban Chicago and Resorts World in New York City are open for the full year.

- Casinos in the Interstate 95 Super Region won $8.9 billion last year compared to the $8 billion gamblers lost on the Las Vegas Strip and in LV’s locals casinos.

- The Super Region is a group of overlapping smaller regions stretching from Connecticut to Maryland in which sub-regions compete against neighboring sub-regions, and they all compete against Atlantic City.
