Abstract
Golden State Petroleum Transport Corp. is a Delaware-incorporated, project-financed transaction consisting of two very large crude carriers (VLCCs), the Ulriken (formerly the Antares Voyager) and the Phoenix Voyager. Golden State issued $127.1 million in term notes (in addition to $51.7 million in serial notes that have already matured) on behalf of its subsidiaries that own the vessels, Golden State Petro (IOM I-A) PLC and Golden State Petro (IOM I-B) PLC, to help fund construction of the vessels. Each of the vessels is an approximately 300,000 deadweight ton double-hulled tanker built to the specifications of Chevron Transport Corp. The Ulriken was delivered on Dec. 7, 1998.
