CHICAGO (Standard & Poor's) June 6, 2005?Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has raised its rating on the city of Buffalo, Minn.'s outstanding general obligation debt to 'A+' from 'A'. The outlook is stable. "The rating reflects the city's high value economic development, with strong growth in market value and population, and the maintenance of a strong financial position, despite continued capital needs," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Corey Friedman. At the same time, the rating agency assigned its 'A+' rating to the city's $7.015 million general obligation bonds series 2005A and $975,000 general obligation bonds series 2005B.
