Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA+' rating and stable outlook to Kane County Community Unit School District No. 304 (Geneva), Ill.'s series 2011 general obligation (GO) refunding school bonds. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its 'AA+' rating and underlying rating (SPUR) on the district's outstanding debt. The ratings reflect our opinion of the district's: Participation in the Chicago metropolitan area's deep and diverse economy, Very strong income level, Positive financial operations with very strong reserves, and Moderate overall debt burden coupled with the lack of major capital needs due to enrollment stabilization.
