Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has raised its rating on Kane County Community Unit School District No. 304 Geneva, Ill.'s general obligation (GO) bonds to 'AA+' from 'AA'. The upgrade reflects our view of the district's maintenance of strong financial reserves despite a slowdown in residential growth. In addition, Standard & Poor's assigned its 'AA+' rating to the district's series 2010A GO refunding school bonds. Other credit factors are our assessment of the district's: Participation in the Chicago metropolitan area's deep and diverse economy, Very strong and income levels, Positive financial operations with very strong reserves, and Moderate overall debt burden coupled with an easing of the district's future capital needs.
