Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AAA' long-term rating to Columbus, Ohio's approximately $179.6 million series 2012-1 unlimited-tax and 2012-2 limited-tax various purpose refunding bonds. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its 'AAA' long-term rating and 'AAA/A-1+' rating on the city's previously issued debt. The outlook on all ratings is stable. The 'A-1+' short-term component of the rating on the city's series 2006-1 bonds reflects our view that the city's treasury investment portfolio provides sufficient liquidity to cover that series of bonds.
