Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has affirmed its 'AA-' long-term rating on North Carolina Medical Care Commission's $315 million series 2010 hospital revenue refunding bonds, issued for Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. The rating outlook is stable. North Carolina Baptist Hospital (NCBH) and Wake Forest University Health Sciences, (WFUHS), the members of Wake Forest Baptist University Medical Center (the medical center), have been operating under an integration agreement since July 1, 2010, and have had a combined obligated group debt structure since March 25, 2011. We believe the integration has been positive for operating performance and patient volumes, and that further benefits will be achievable over time.
