Abstract
NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) March 15, 2012--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has assigned its 'A' rating to Oglethorpe Power Corp. (OPC), Ga.'s $22.3 million Development Authority of Burke County Pollution control revenue bonds (Oglethorpe Power Corp. Vogtle Project) series 2008G, which are being remarketed; and to the $10.1 million Development Authority of Monroe County pollution control revenue bonds (Oglethorpe Power Corp. Scherer project), series 2012A. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its 'A' issuer credit rating on the utility, its 'A' rating on OPC's other long-term debt, and its 'A-1' rating on Oglethorpe's $1.3 billion commercial paper program.
