Abstract
The 'AA+' rating on the City of Shaker Heights, Ohio's series 2003 GO limited-tax urban renewal refunding bonds is based on: Access to the diverse Cleveland, Ohio area economy; Above-average economic indicators compared with national, state, and surrounding area averages; A diverse property and income tax base; Strong financial management and historically high general fund reserves; and Low debt levels. The series 2003 bonds are being used to refund various outstanding temporary urban renewal bonds and to fund various improvements to the city's two tax increment financing areas. Payments on the bonds will be made from the city's general capital projects fund as well as from proceeds of tax increment revenues, and ultimately from the proceeds of the city's levy...
