Abstract
NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Jan. 29, 2002--Standard & Poor's today revised the outlook on its underlying rating (SPUR) on King City Joint Union High School District, Calif.'s $18.855 million GO refunding bonds series 1998 to stable from positive. The triple-'B'-plus rating has been affirmed. The outlook revision is due to the continued presence of tax base concentration coupled with the sustained rural nature of the district's economic base. Rating factors include: -- A limited rural economy centered in the agricultural industry with an expanding residential base and low income levels, -- Tax base concentration, -- A moderate debt burden, and -- Sound financial operations.
