Protective paint systems for steel structures. Specifications and test standards. CD-ROM (Spanish Version)
- Published: January 2010
- AENOR Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification
Certain paints aim to protect metallic structures to avoid damage caused by chemical and atmospheric agents, microorganisms, abrasion, and corrosion or to prevent substrate deterioration in case of fire.
This handbook contains 82 UNE standards and includes both general paint requirements and specific protection requirements of steel structures:
- Test methodologies for the assessment of coating properties
- Testing instruments
- Colour designation system
- Different types of protection
The standards are capable of periodic reviews in order to ensure their up-to-dateness and conformity with the progresses of the industry and of the society. For this reason, although all the standards contained in this manual are in force at the closing date of edition, it may happen that in the future the modifications that take place in the catalogue of UNE standards affect this selection.
