It facilitates the effective selection of a volume meter, by studying the technology of different measurement devices, of the process and of the fluid that one wants to measure.

It analyzes the volume meters usually used in the majority of industrial processes, among which are mechanically- operated differential pressure meters, of electromagnetic, ultrasonic, and oscillatory type. Equally it deals with the secondary instrumentation associated with volume meters, the treatment of the signs generated by the instruments set up on site, how to avoid mistakes by correct setting up, reference systems and evaluation of uncertainty in volume measurement.
