According to Scorelogix Local Economic Health Index, national economic well-being decreased by 0.8% in Quarter 4, 2011 compared to Quarter 3, 2011. An increase in the mass layoff together with lower hourly earnings led to the drop in the Local Economic Health Index across the nation. Mass Layoff increased by 40% and hourly earnings decreased by 20% in Quarter 4, 2011 compared to Quarter 3, 2011. LEHI in Quarter 4, 2011 had increased by 2.9% compared to Quarter 4, 2010.
