In this report, Greenwich Associates provides an inclusive review and analysis of compensation trends for fixed-income investment professionals at buy-side institutions across Europe. Salary and bonus data are presented by job function, fixed-income product, and size and type of institution. Expected change in compensation and performance factors determining bonus are also highlighted for each region. Compensation information was collected from interviews with chief executive officers, chief financial officers, chief investment officers, treasurers, assistant treasurers, portfolio managers, research analysts, head traders, and traders. This research is based on responses from over 1,132 respondents conducted in Europe between May and August, 2011.
Methodology: Between May and July 2011, Greenwich Associates conducted 1,132 interviews with senior fixed-income investment professionals at banks, fund managers/advisors, insurance companies, corporations, central banks, hedge funds and other institutions, throughout Europe and the Middle East.
