  • Research In China

In 2011, driven by the skyrocketing market prices of major rare earth raw materials such as praseodymium and neodymium, NdFeB material price soared accordingly, in particular, N35 Sintered NdFeB in China once touched historical high of RMB628/kg in mid-July, which, in spite of a downward mobility in the second half year, still towered over the level at the outset of the year.

Against such backdrop, the investment has increased substantially in Chinese NdFeB industry; apart from the traditional Ningbo, Shanxi and Beijing-Tianjin regions, Baotou, Ganzhou and other key production areas of rare earth also have witnessed rapid growth in NdFeB capacity, with the scale of industry capacity reaching 300,000 tons, while a majority of new capacity projects still have not been put into production. In 2011, China’s NdFeB output reached 83,000 tons, nearly the same as that in previous year, and still giving priority to sintered NdFeB products.

In 2011, Under the price hiking of rare earth raw materials, major NdFeB manufacturers represented by Beijing Zhong Ke San Huan Hi-Tech Co.,Ltd., Ningbo Yunsheng (Group) Co., Ltd. and Yantai Zhenghai Magnetic Material Co., Ltd. (ZHmag) READ MORE >
