The organization through its subsidiary Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) offers health plans for approximately 8.9 million members in nine states and the District of Columbia. KP also provides hospital and physician care through a network of hospitals and physician practices through KFHP, Kaiser Foundation Hospitals (KFH) and their subsidiaries and the Permanente Medical Groups. KP is headquartered in Oakland, California, and employed 167,178 people as of December 31, 2010. Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and their subsidiaries recorded revenues of $44,200 million during the financial year (FY) ended December 2010, an increase of 5% over FY2009. The operating profit of the organizations was $1,200 million during FY2010, a decrease of 25% over FY2009. The net profit was $2,000 million in FY2010, a decrease of 4.8% over FY2009.
