The Indonesia Insurance Report provides industry professionals and strategists, corporate analysts, insurance associations, government departments and regulatory bodies with independent forecasts and competitive intelligence on Indonesia's insurance industry.

BMI remains of the view that Indonesia is one of the most exciting markets for life insurance globally. By most standards, it is large in absolute terms. It appears set to continue to grow rapidly through the medium term. The major multi-nationals who feature prominently in the life segment have reported strong growth in premiums through 2011. A number have increased their networks of agents (by one fifth or more). Some have opened new sales and marketing offices across the country. Many have successfully leveraged bancassurance partnerships with major banking groups.

Interestingly, the figures that have been published by BAPEPAM-LK suggest that the number of Indonesian households that are using life insurance is growing marginally – if at all.
