Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services' base-case outlook for 2012 and 2013 for the U.S. gaming, lodging, and leisure sectors is slightly positive across all sectors, with the exception of the cruise industry. We remain somewhat more cautious on our outlook for the cruise industry this year, following the grounding of the Costa Concordia in January 2012, and because of the volatile macroeconomic environment in Europe. During the first half of 2012, the ratio of upgrades to downgrades in the leisure sectors we follow was 2 to 1.
