Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'A+' long-term rating, and stable outlook, to Claiborne County, Tenn.'s series 2010-A tax-exempt general obligation (GO) public improvement bonds and series 2010-B taxable GO public improvement bonds and affirmed its 'A+' long-term rating and underlying rating (SPUR), with a stable outlook, on the county's existing GO debt. Standard & Poor's also affirmed its 'A+' long-term rating and SPUR, with a stable outlook, on Sevier County Public Building Authority, Tenn.'s and Blount County Public Building Authority, Tenn.'s appropriation debt, supported by the county. These ratings reflect Claiborne County's general creditworthiness as the obligor.
