This newest volume comprises 94 original technical presentations delivered at the World Packaging Conference, sponsored by the International Association of Packaging Research Institutes (IAPRI) and held in June 2012 at California Polytechnic State University. The presentations are research papers that have not been published, as well as detailed (3-5-page) posters.
The presentations' subjects cover eight areas: active/intelligent packaging, distribution packaging, medical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical packaging, food and agricultural packaging, hazardous materials containers, as well as sections on materials, sustainable, testing and standards. The book is the latest in a series from this important global packaging meeting, which brings together packaging researchers from universities and industry.
