Sea ports of the Black Sea region play the role of key points that connect the continental transport corridors with the shipping lines.

This report is the second in a series of reports, devoted to the development of ports of various marine basins adjacent to Russia. It contains information on port capacities, infrastructure and plans for their development. Furthermore, it offers an overview on freight data and dynamics of various freight types. The report examines the activities of the major and fast growing Black Seaports and evaluates their prospects in the medium term. It evaluates port characteristics,describes links and access routes to ports and presents therefore possible opportunities for value chain integration of port related companies.
