Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AAA' long-term rating to Austin, Texas' series 2012A public improvement bonds, series 2012B taxable public improvement bonds, series 2012 certificates of obligation, and series 2012 public property finance contractual obligations. Standard & Poor's also assigned its 'AA+' long-term rating to Mueller Local Government Corp., Texas' series 2012 tax increment contract revenue bonds, issued on behalf of the city. At the same time, Standard & Poor's Ratings services affirmed its 'AAA' rating on the city's general obligation (GO) debt outstanding. We also affirmed our 'AA+' rating on the city's existing appropriation debt. The outlook on all ratings is stable.
