Japan Display, LGD and Sharp are expected to supply iPhone 5 in-cell panel up to total 60M units in 2H12

Japan Display (TMD) is indicated to enter mass production for iPhone 5 in-cell panel and total shipments are estimated to have ~2M units in July. Moreover, we anticipate LGD and Sharp to start in-cell panel productions in August and September respectively. However, we concern initial yield rate for in-cell panel and lamination to be relatively low across all suppliers in 3Q12. This may lead to insufficient in-cell panel supply in 3Q12 which means that overall iPhone 5 supply may have a potential downside forecast risk in the next 1-2 months.
