4Q 2003 Router Market Analysis

Worldwide router sales revenues for branch office, enterprise, service provider edge, and service provider core routers totaled $1.75 billion in 4Q 03. This was an increase of 2% from the previous quarter. Service provider edge and core routers had the largest growth rates in sales. Branch office routers accounted for 80% of the total unit shipments, and 20% of the total sales revenues.
This report includes detailed equipment vendor market shares, by units and sales revenues, for 4 categories of routers: branch office routers, enterprise routers, service provider edge routers, and service provider core routers.
