3Q 2004 Packet Telephony Gateway Market Analysis

The worldwide packet telephony gateway market experienced a 33.8% increase in port shipments during the second quarter of 2004, compared to the first quarter, and shipments on a year over year basis more than doubled. Total revenues grew by 32.7%, compared to the immediately preceding quarter, and by 77.9% compared to 3Q 03. All density segments showed an increase during the third quarter; however, medium density gateways experienced the highest growth during the quarter. This report includes vendor market shares for various segments of the packet voice gateway market and a rolling three-quarter forecast of the packet voice equipment market.
