Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'AAA' long-term rating on DuPage County School District No. 53 (Butler), Ill.'s general obligation (GO) debt outstanding. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its 'AA+' long-term rating on the district's existing debt certificates. The outlook is stable. The ratings reflect our view of the district's: Strong and stable economy in Oak Brook, Ill., including a strong corporate tax base, and access to the deep and diverse Chicago area economy; Very strong income and market value per capita indicators; High cash reserve level with a history of positive operating results and no budget pressures; and Good financial management policies.
