Welfare on the mend: Private donations and federal funding for the industry are set to grow
Adoption & Child Welfare Services in the US
Welfare on the mend
Adoption agencies and providers of child welfare services faced a rocky road during the recession, as private donations dwindled and federal funding remained stagnant. Improvement is on the horizon, however. As consumers' and corporations' incomes improve, they will be more able to donate to nonprofit organizations, such as those that dominate this industry. The industry's own revenue streams will also improve, as their endowment funding recovers. Meanwhile, with economic fears abating, the public will increase its focus on child welfare, which will pressure the government to increase funding.
This industry includes private nonresidential social assistance services for the youth. These establishments provide for the welfare of children in such areas as adoption services, as well as life skills training and positive social development.
This report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecasts, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.
