Lend a hand: Steady unemployment and government funding will marginally boost revenue
Community Food Services in the US
Feeding growth
After a boost in revenue due to a high unemployment rate and a surge in federal assistance, revenue growth will taper off somewhat. Federal funding will diminish as a result of policy change. Still, demand for industry services will remain steady, as the poverty rate continues to be high.
This industry comprises establishments that collect, prepare and deliver food for the needy. Establishments also distribute clothing and blankets to the poor. They prepare and deliver meals to persons who cannot prepare meals for themselves; collect and distribute salvageable or donated food; and prepare and provide meals at fixed or mobile locations. The industry includes food banks, meal delivery programs and soup kitchens.
This report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecasts, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.
