The 'AAA' rating on Airservices Australia (AsA), Australia's only air-navigation service provider, reflects the long-term rating of the company's 100% owner, the Commonwealth of Australia (AAA/Stable/A-1+). Because we believe that there is an almost certain likelihood of extraordinary support from the government if AsA were to experience financial distress, under our criteria for rating government-related entities, "Rating Government-Related Entities: Methodology And Assumptions" published to Global Credit Portal on Dec. 9, 2010, we equate AsA's rating with that of Commonwealth of Australia. We view AsA's stand-alone credit profile (SACP) as 'aa', underpinned by our opinion of AsA's "excellent" business risk profile and "modest" financial risk profile.
