New information from the Greek government has led us to revise up our 2013 growth forecast for Greece’s non-hydropower renewable generation from 2.6% to 4.4%. Conversely, we have revised down our long-term average growth forecast from 4.7% to 3.2% due to the downsizing of the country's flagship solar project capacity from 10GW to 500MW. Our outlook for the broader solar sector also remains bleak as the government has suspended the approval process for new solar photovoltaic projects, while the investment climate for producers remain adverse.
We have revised up our 2013 growth forecast for non-hydropower renewable generation in Greece from 2.6% to 4.4%. This upward revision was prompted by new data from the Greek government which shows a strong pipeline of projects.
