Establishing Best Practices for e-Gov Within the US
Faulkner, March 2003, Pages: 8
From federally-mandated contract regulations to unusual procurement cycles, managing an e-government operation can be challenging. Broadly defined, e-Government can include virtually all information and communication technology platforms and applications in use by the public sector. In general, e-Government is defined as the utilization of the Internet and the World Wide Web for delivering government information and services to citizens. To ensure success, US officials must adopt a 'best practices' approach to establishing and providing e-Government services, borrowing proven strategies from both the public and private sectors.
