US Long Distance Service Comparison
Faulkner, March 2003, Pages: 9
The long distance market in the US is going through some major changes. Verizon Communications, one of the four Bell companies, is now the third largest long distance carrier in terms of subscribers, supplanting Sprint. Revenues from long distance services are declining, forcing some of the major IXCs to increase rates in an attempt to squeeze more revenue out of their dropping customer bases. Industry giants also are offering service bundles that include long distance and local calling, Internet access, and other services. This report compares the service offering from the leading US long distance providers.
