Faulkner, March 2003, Pages: 12
Snmp has grown beyond its original role as a simple network device protocol and now includes definitions for managing virtually all aspects of the network environment. Snmp is in constant development with Snmpv3 being approved as a full Internet standard by the Internet Engineering Steering Group in March 2002. The latest version of Snmp primarily adds security and remote configuration capabilities.
