International Callback Services

Callback services were among the first offerings to provide low-cost international telephone services on a global basis. The service model is based on obtaining a dial tone from the US to reoriginate the call at considerably cheaper US outbound rates. This once popular toll bypass method is now gradually disappearing as international tariffs shrink and competition emerges from facilities-based carriers. In fact, the major callback companies have moved on to supplement remaining callback service with other low-cost tariff options such as calling cards. This report compares the callback services of three leading vendors.
