Franchised Child Services Business Survey 2005 - Learning Center & ChildCare Services Survey
FranchiseHelp.com, April 2005, Pages: 145
This report focuses on learning centers and childcare services. We have surveyed a total of 18 franchised brands and we have included 10 Item 19's (Company earnings claims).
As a valuable added feature, the survey now contains Item 19 (Earnings Claims) information when it is available from the franchise UFOC.
The Entrepreneur's Franchise 500 (2005) lists child services as one of the hot industries for rapid growth. Over the last two years franchised units have increased from 4,440 in 2002 to 5,622 in 2004, in the US and Canada. This growth stems largely from the continuing demand from parents who want the best for their children and the willingness of parents to spend on their children.
A few relevant statistics:
- Children are projected to remain a substantial percentage of the total US population and in 2002 they will comprise 24 percent of the population. - The group of children ages 0-5 years will increase in the next 20 years by 3.4 percent (24.1% in 2004 to 27.5% in 2002). 60.5% of female working population has a child under 3 years old and 64.1% has a child under 6 years old. (US Department of Labor, Statistics 2005) - Owning a child education/services franchise can be very personally rewarding, as well as financially rewarding. By becoming an owner of such a franchise, franchisees can impact the lives of young people in their communities.
