Following a year in which BMI believes saw strong growth across Serbia's freight transport sector, 2015 will signal further growth, albeit more moderate for all freight modes.

Total trade is projected to pick up with our Country Risk desk forecasting a y-o-y increase of 7.91% in 2015 following an estimated growth of 6.22% in 2014.

Rail freight is to continue to dominate the sector. The sector continues quick recovery of its 2011 and 2007 levels and will be boosted by a large number of railway infrastructure upgrades.

The country national airline Air Serbia, having found strategic partner, continues improving its operations.
