Array and Phased Array Antenna Basics
John Wiley and Sons Ltd, July 2005, Pages: 376
There is a growing interest in array and phased array antenna systems from industries such as mobile communications, satellite broadcasting, radar and radio astronomy, but the range of titles currently available on the market are theoretical and heavy on maths. This easy to read volume will explain the principles of array and phased array antennas at an introductory level, without relying heavily on a thorough understanding of electromagnetics or even antenna theory. Although the principles will be explained mathematically, the introduction will be based on the arrays physical characteristics rather than mathematics as this will make the book far more appealing, reaching an audience that is easily (but unnecessarily) deterred by high level maths. The reader will be guided into the necessary mathematics and, after having read the book, should be able, or at least should have lost the fear, to read the specialist books on the subject.
