This book is the second edition of the author's earlier book published by McGraw-Hill. Its primary market are antenna designers working in industry. Its emphasis is on practical applications. The author is an expert antenna designer and will present material that he considers essential for his work. Following is the author's statement of purpose: 'I design hardware and also analyze proposed systems. . . . I have studied the theory of antennas and distilled it to the parts needed to design, specify, and use antennas. I want to help people understand antennas and to be able to design them without having to spend a large amount of time studying theory.'
