This issue pays much attention to the exports & imports, price and upstream & downstream products of TiO2. Meanwhile, this issue also analyzes the problems that China's TiO2 market faced with, the development of China's real estate industry and the titanium ore resource in Panxi Region in Sichuan Province.
In Nov. 201 4, China's export volume of TiO2 continued to decrease while the import volume went on climbing. That was because that demand for TiO2 declined with the coming of Christmas and most manufacturers in Europe and America have chosen to empty the inventories by price reduction. Besides, high-grade TiO2 as a rigid demand in the market, domestic distributors and downstream consumers of high-grade TiO2 took this opportunity to replenish their limited stocks.
Also in Nov. 201 4, the import volume of titanium placer and titanium feedstock fell down MoM. At the same time, the domestic output of titanium concentrate ore increased MoM because the Sichuan Panzhihua Vanadium Titanium Industry Expo was held in the end of Nov. and it had pushed some manufacturers in Sichuan Province to resume operation.
In this issue, CCM also makes some analysis: First, China's TiO2 industry is facing three problems: structural overcapacity, low concentration in the industry and scarce investment into environmental protection. Second, as the pillar industry in support of China's rapid economic growth in previous years, the real estate market headed into collapse in 201 4 owing to the general economic slowdown in China, exerting an adverse impact on the TiO2 market in 201 5. Third, China is becoming the TiO2 centre in the world and Panxi Region, Sichuan Province is an emerging TiO2 centre in China with its enormous mining resources.
Besides all the information mentioned above, this issue also introduces the policies concerning the coating industry, the integration of Pangang Group with Ansteel, the total coating output in 201 4 and Henan Billions' non-public issuance and so on.
The USD/RMB exchange rate in this issue is USD1 .00=RMB6.11 90 on 4 Jan., 201 5, sourced from the People's Bank of China. All the prices mentioned in this issue include the VAT except some specified.
