This concise benchmarking report is the result of an online survey designed and posted in 2005. Eighty-seven member-driven organizations provided validated data concerning renewal rates for their members. The report provides benchmarks for both individual membership organizations and organizational membership organizations.
In addition to demographic data such as sample size, number of members, pricing categories, and terms of membership, this report details survey results concerning performance and process benchmarks. Performance benchmarks include renewal rates by size and membership pricing. Process benchmarks include: grace periods, reasons not to renew, save techniques, key factors for renewal, and the renewal process. The newly created staffing estimator provides guidelines by type of organization and number of members.
