Formal Wear & Costume Rental in the US
IBISWorld, May 2011, Pages: 31
Made in China: Imports will continue to drive down revenue, even as the economy recovers
Formal Wear & Costume Rental in the US
No cause for celebration
Although the economy is forecast to begin recovery in 2010, the future of formal wear and costume rentals does not look so bright. Industry demand, revenue and profits are expected to continue their declines as inexpensive imports penetrate the market and increasing disposable incomes lead consumers to purchase formal wear and constumes instead of renting. The tuxedo rental segment will keep the industry afloat, however, because consumers are still likely to prefer the tuxedo rental service based on long-term investment value.
Companies in this industry rent clothing such as formal wear, accessories, costumes and other clothing (except laundered uniforms and work apparel) to end consumers.
This report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecasts, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.
