Irish IT Budget Generation Approaches

In a recent report, we assessed the methods of budget generation across numerous verticals in Ireland and examined the relationship between industry vertical and budget generation approach.
We conceive that organisations are placing more emphasis on developing a budget approach that most suits their requirements in order to enhance accountable value from each IT project.
We examine why certain verticals mainly construct their investment plans on a project by project basis like Financial Services whereas others retain a fixed budget approach such as Government sector.
We commend that some organisations favour turnover as a method of calculating future budgets but there are also many who see value in combining all three methods. We see this information and report as valuable to IT vendors and services providers in fine tuning their sales strategies and developing strategic industry vertical driven targeted campaigns.
