Senegal: Millicom’s Tigo Is Gaining Momentum
2005 has been a phenomenal year for Millicom-owned Tigo in Senegal, partly because of its marked increase in market share but more so because of the strategy it has adopted over the last 12 months. In this article, we review Tigo’s new-found strategy, analyze its implications on the operator’s prospects within Senegal and assess the longer-term impact it is expected to have on the Senegalese market.
