Latin Review is an ongoing survey. The publication provides information on demographics and consumer behavior across a broad variety of topics such as communication, internet usage, money remittances, financial services, property ownership and credit and media habits, among others. Latin Review 2006 is the latest release of this publication, showing the findings of 420 South Florida Hispanics from Central America, South America and the Caribbean. Demographic analysis for key nationalities (Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, Cuba, Central America, and other South American countries) is made across all topics surveyed.
Hispanic markets – Profile of South Florida’s Hispanic consumer This report offers a comprehensive demographic profile of South Florida´s Hispanics, covering income and employment trends, household composition, and education, as well as an acculturation analysis based on key immigration indicators such number of years in the US and Florida, immigration status, English proficiency, intent of returning to the home country, among other.
Results clearly shows a higher educated and entrepreneurial wave of immigrant profile among South Florida Hispanics, when compared to the overall Hispanic market, with all its implications on consumer spending and investing. The ratio of college education held among South Florida Hispanics is four times the national Hispanic average. On a nationwide level, 11% of US Hispanics, 25 years and older, have reached university education; while 74% Of South Florida Hispanics have at least 2 years of college and a higher education level.
Latin Review 2006 is the second edition of this survey, studies Hispanic markets in the US and key Latin American markets.
Methodology: quantitative market research study, interviews by interception in commercial areas. Geographic Coverage: Miami Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Universe: men and woman, between 18 and 65 years old, born in Latin America, first generation, with at least 6 months living in United States.
