Fast and Efficient Context-Aware Services
John Wiley and Sons Ltd, April 2006, Pages: 222
This book is an advanced explanation of the state-of-the art in Context-Aware-Services. The authors describe and characterize this type of service as well as the specific service dimension that is context. The book will enable the reader to understand the models and technologies of service providers in order to develop better services. The authors begin with a description of the service creation problem. Network technology alternatives to support context-aware services are then described. Among these alternatives, active and programmable networks are considered with special attention. The book considers service operation and management. The authors own experiences of the practical approach to context-aware technology followed in the CONTEXT project are discussed and explained.
