About MES
MES is a control system that helps manage and monitor operations on a plant floor. It tracks the entire manufacturing process end to end, from the transformation of raw materials to the final finished product. MES uses real time data from machines, robots, and employees. For better performance and information flow across the organization, companies are integrating MES with ERP. This allows organizations to improve efficiency by performing operations, such as operation scheduling, lot tracking, resource allocation and control, plant maintenance, labor planning, data acquisition and collection, quality assurance, and process control. MES acts as a communication system between the various parts of a plant and also provides an enterprise-wide record system.

The authoranalysts forecast the MES market in North America to grow at a CAGR of 11.42% during 2014-2019.

The author Announces the Publication of its Research Report – MES Market in North America 2015-2019

The author recognizes the following companies as the key players in the MES Market in North America: ABB, Emerson Electric, GE, Honeywell International, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, and Siemens.

Other Prominent Vendors in the market are: Apriso, Andea Solutions, Camstar Systems Inc., Eyelit, IBM, Operator System Aps, Oracle, SAP, Werum Software and System.

Commenting on the report, an analyst from the team said: “The oil and mineral rich country along with its low-cost labor is attracting foreign players to invest over there. The Government of Mexico has increased FDI in several sectors to accelerate the industrial activity in the country. Thus, the rising manufacturing activities in Mexico will result in increased demand for MES solutions.”

According to the report, the economic recovery in the country has boosted consumer confidence, resulting in the purchase of new vehicles by first time buyers and also replacement of old vehicles by pre-existing customers. Thus, automotive companies have to ramp up their production either by increasing their existing production capacity or establishing new ones.

Further, the report states that high initial investment for the installation of MES is hindering market growth. Organizations across process industries worldwide find it difficult to shift from their legacy system to the latest technology because of the high cost of MES solutions. MES requires huge investment not only for its installation, but also for regular upgrades and integration and support.

The study was conducted using an objective combination of primary and secondary information including inputs from key participants in the industry. The report contains a comprehensive market and vendor landscape in addition to a SWOT analysis of the key vendors.
