Profitability affected in North America. After several years of strong profit growth, rising input costs and higher marketing investment have had an adverse effect on profitability at PepsiCo Beverages North America and Frito-Lay North America. However, Quaker Foods North America has continued to benefit from the growth of better-for-you products. The rise in overall company profitability continues to be driven by PepsiCo International.
