What is the Internet Service Providers Industry?
This industry provides internet access through wired infrastructure, including copper wire, coaxial cable and fiber optics. Operators may also rent or lease out capacity on their networks to support the network infrastructure of other companies (backhaul). This industry excludes companies that provide internet access through wireless technologies (see IBISWorld reports 51332 Wireless Telecommunications Carriers and 51334 Satellite Telecommunications Providers).
